Shipping policy

Thank you for choosing Gift Reykjavik. Below you’ll find all the information regarding our shipping methods, delivery areas, and timelines.

1. Delivery Areas

We currently offer delivery within the Greater Reykjavik area and nearby towns. For remote areas or custom delivery requests, please contact us in advance at info@giftreykjavik.is or call +354 842 1082.

2. Delivery Times

  • Standard Delivery: Orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) are typically delivered same-day in between 14:00-19:00 or next business day.
  • Big Orders: Please allow up to 2–3 business days for preparation and delivery.
  • Preferred Delivery Dates: You may request a specific delivery date at checkout. We do our best to accommodate, but it is not guaranteed unless confirmed by us.

Deliveries are made Monday to Sunday, excluding public holidays.

3. Delivery Fees

  • Free pick up in store Leit Verslun at Hverafold 1-3, 112 Reykjavik after the order is ready.
  • Standard Delivery Fee within the Greater Reykjavik area and nearby towns: 1.935 ISK + VAT
  • Fees are automatically calculated and added at checkout.

4. Delivery Confirmation

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email or text message with a confirmation. For hand-delivered baskets, the recipient may be contacted directly to ensure successful delivery.

5. Missed Deliveries

If the recipient is not available at the delivery location:

  • We will attempt to contact them using the phone number provided.
  • If we cannot deliver successfully, we may leave the item in a secure location or reschedule delivery.
  • If delivery can not be done – recipient is not available, the order will be returned to the shop Leit Verslun at Funahofdi 1-3, 112 Reykjavikand customer will be able to pick it up during working hours.

6. Delays & Force Majeure

While we aim for timely delivery, unforeseen delays (weather, road conditions, high order volume, etc.) may occasionally affect delivery times. We appreciate your understanding and will communicate promptly if any delays occur.
